2021 Ford Expedition: Get Moving and Do It in Style

There are some key traits that every three-row SUV should have to make it an excellent one. The first is a powerful engine. The new Ford Expedition comes with a standard V6 engine under the hood. It has enough power to move the Expedition briskly to highway speeds even when full of people. The second is a roomy and comfortable interior. The Ford Expedition comes with a large cabin with a capacity of eight. All seats are comfortable and provide enough support for long trips. Finally, a good three-row SUV should also have plenty of features. The new Ford Expedition comes with a long list of standard technology and safety features. Visit us at Woody Folsom Ford to get a glimpse at the new Ford Expedition.

What's new in the 2021 Ford Expedition?

The new Ford Expedition will be available in Baxley with several changes. The most notable change this year is that there will be a new trim joining the range. The new base XL trim joins the lineup. It will not be a three-row SUV but will have two rows and will only seat five passengers. The exterior paint list now includes Antimatter Blue and Kodiak Brown. The other change is that the optional and standard lists have been reshuffled, with new additions joining the list.

Performance

The new Ford Expedition will only have one engine propelling it. But no worries, it is a refined V6 engine. Under the hood of this SUV will be a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6, making 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. The engine will be offered in tandem with a ten-speed automatic gearbox and will have the RWD drivetrain as standard. The AWD drivetrain is available but will be on the options list. It is a pretty speedy engine, and the new Ford Expedition can move from zero to 60 mph in just 6.2 seconds. The V6 gets a rating of 19/22 mpg, which is acceptable for SUVs this size.

Interior & Seating

Three-row SUVs are designed to provide maximum comfort, and the new Ford Expedition is no exception. It will come with a well-designed interior with lots of premium materials. There are some bits of soft plastics on the low trims, but on trims like the King Ranch, you will busk in opulence. The base trim comes with a two-row configuration and a five-passenger capacity. Every other model will have three rows and a maximum occupancy of eight. All three rows provide comfortable and roomy seating. You can add many features to your cabin, including genuine leather upholstery, massaging seats, heated second-row seats, and heated and ventilated front seats.

Technology & Safety

The new Ford Expedition is a tech-savvy SUV. All three-row SUVs need to be because they are mostly involved in family-hauling duties. Every model will come with the standard eight-inch display interfaced by SYNC 3 system. The interface is very responsive and user-friendly, and one can easily access their favorite features. Many features are standard, including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, four USB ports, Wi-Fi, and a six-speaker stereo system. You will have navigation, wireless charging, satellite radio, HD radio, a rear-seat entertainment setup, and a 12-speaker B&O premium stereo on the options list. For safety, the Ford Expedition has the following features as standard: a rearview camera, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automated high-beam headlights, lane-keeping assistance, and automatic emergency stop.
